A man will appear in court next month charged with stealing items from a woman living near Stansted Airport.

Self-employed Mark Coates, 39, of Bran End, Stebbing, was arrested at his home address by officers from Essex Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit on March 20.

He has now been charged with one count of theft and has been released on police bail to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on May 13.

Coates was identified by officers following information provided to Essex Police by a national newspaper.
