"Egg-cellent" Easter Events in Braintree

Families can get out and have an “egg-cellent” time this weekend, which is packed full of Easter events around the district.

The Blake House Craft Centre will be holding various themed activities from today until Monday including an Easter Bunny visit, egg hunt, face painting, bouncy castles and a colouring competition.

The centre will open at 10am each day as will the shops, which will be packed with Easter gifts and treats, and Timbers Restaurant, which will have refreshments on sale throughout the day.

Take a walk through the picturesque scenery at Marks Hall and Arboretum daily until Monday.

The attraction will be open between 10.30am and 4.30pm daily and the Easter Bunnies have taken it upon themselves to decorate everywhere with spring flowers – but all in the wrong places!

An Easter Extravaganza will be held at the Newlands Shopping Centre in Witham on Saturday and will be fit to bursting with themed stalls selling delicious chocolates and handmade gifts and activities such as a circus workshop and face painting.

The event will be running from 10am until 4pm.

An Easter Egg hunt will also be held in Great Bardfield, outside the Co-Op in Brook Street from 9.30am, with an egg for everyone taking part. Call 07970 958499 to find out more.

Sunday will see the Easter bunny will be put in an appearance at Cressing Temple Barns, in Witham Road, just in time for an Easter adventure. Suitable for children between two and 11years-old, this event includes a prize for every child.
