A caring woman has raised vital funds for life saving equipment.
Kelly Bishop, landlady at the Horse and Groom Pub, Cornish Hall End, organised a charity summer ball at the pub to raise funds for three defibrillators for the surrounding villages.
She said: “Five years ago, my 13-year-old cousin, James Haggerty who lived in Beckton-on-Sea, Suffolk, suffered a cardiac arrest and sadly died.
“If there had been a defibrillator there, it would have greatly increased the chances of him surviving."
