Drainage works have begun at a flooding hotspot on the outskirts of Braintree.
Bridge Hall Road, in Bradwell, commonly floods during heavy rainfall, with water running from a pond south of the A120 through pipes and into a ditch in the road.
An eight-week project to replace the drainage system is now underway.
The road, which connects Stisted to the A120, will be closed on weekdays between 7am and 5pm while the works are carried out.
