Firefighters tackle Braintree bandstand fire
Firefighters tackled a fire in the thatched roof of a bandstand in Braintree today.
When crews from Braintree and Halstead arrived at the scene in Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens in Bocking End at 6.04pm, the roof was 20 per cent alight.
Using one hose reel jet, firefighters extinquished the blaze by 6.40pm.
