The Anglia Singers will be filling one of Braintree’s churches with music at their concert on Sunday.
The choir have been rehearsing hard for their Passiontide Concert, which will be held in Our Lady Queen Of Peace Church in The Avenue, Braintree.
The choir is to sing Stainer’s Crucifixion with soloists Paul Bloomfield (tenor) who is making a welcome return to Braintree and Tim Gillott (baritone) who is new to the choir.
Other music which is to be performed will include Mozart’s Ave Verum, Brahms’ How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings (from his Requiem) and Feast of Palms by local composer Alan Bullard.
The music will be accompanied by Stephen Smith at the organ and conducted by Professor Christopher Green OBE.
