Villagers insist they will keep fighting proposals which will see hundreds of HGVs each week transporting gravel from quarries.
Essex County Council’s replacement minerals local plan (MLP) will see the majority of the county’s gravel extraction until 2029 concentrated around Braintree district.
Following ECC’s original submission, an independent inspector has recommended that part of the proposed Bradwell Quarry site is redefined as a reserve, rather than preferred, site.
