X Factor fever took over a school as former contestants of the ITV show performed for 1,000 pupils.
Brick City made it through bootcamp to the judges’ houses in last year’s series, performing for Gary Barlow in New York but failing to make it to the live shows.
The Finsbury Park band, who met excited Tabor Academy pupils, are now touring schools and giving drug and alcohol awareness advice.
They came to Braintree thanks to arrangements made by PE teacher James Salmon, who heads up
Tabor’s pastoral programme, and events and trips administrator Sharon Mussett.
Mr Salmon, who took on the Dermot O’Leary role as he presented the band to each year group, said: “The students were really excited about it."
