A man has been charged with seven offences after being arrested in connection with a fight.
Police were called to Panfield Lane, Braintree, shortly before 5pm on Sunday after reports of a disturbance in the street.
Two men were arrested in connection with a fight, during which a number of cars were damaged.
22-year-old Michael Jones, of Coggeshall Road, Braintree, was later charged with assault by beating, disorderly behaviour, one charge of causing criminal damage to police property and four counts of causing criminal damage to parked cars.
He has been bailed and will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on March 25.
A 19-year-old man from the Wethersfield area was also arrested on suspicion of affray and causing criminal damage but was later released without charge.
