Almost £2,000 worth of tools and electronics were stolen from a car in Braintree.

The items, including a Lenovo laptop, tools, a Samsung camera and dust sheets, were taken from the boot of a white Ford Cougar in Falkland Court overnight between February 28 and March 1.

No damage was caused to the car but when the owner returned the boot was open and the items, valued at £1,793, were gone.

leaving anything like this in your car is no better than leaving jewellery in your pockets while commuting yes we should be able to do these things, but we cant when will you learn and stop being easy pickings for thieves?

Years ago, I opened my boot and noticed the spare wheel was missing. You couldn't open the boot without the key in those days so I have no idea how it was taken. I mentioned it to the police and they said they'd let me know if they saw it!!!!!
