Witham sisters baffled by orange frog discovery

First published in News

Three Witham sisters and have been left baffled after finding this bright orange frog in the garden.

Sophie Peachey and her younger sisters Sicily and Siena Lewis, who are nine-year-old twins, found the unusual amphibian in Sophie’s garden on the Templars estate in Witham.

Mum-of-one Sophie, 20, said: “It’s really unusual.
“It’s also the first time I have had a frog in the front garden as well.”

There's nothing unusual about this really. Frogs tend to take up the colour of the place where they have hibernated.

If they have hibernated in sand, which is quite common, then they tend to have an orangery colour.

"Its the first time I have had a frog in the front garden". What's going in with the news today? Swingers in Colchester and orange frogs in the FRONT garden - it'd be OK if it was out the back then!

When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
When the hurlyburly's done,
When the battle's lost and won.
That will be ere the set of sun.

Sorry couldn't resist it :)

We’re all agreed I think you’ll find.
You’d best stick at the daily grind.
Do you have a poetic talent?
Sorry Mate! It seems you haven’t.
