A couple with a faulty boiler say they have been living “a nightmare” for two years as it has flooded their hallway and left them without hot water for weeks at a time.

Jason Seaman, 32, and Kelly May moved into their property in Malyon Close, Braintree, in 2012 but say they have had problems with their boiler ever since.

They were told in January they would get a replacement but are still waiting for it to be confirmed.

Miss May, 23, said: “We are desperate, it’s been a nightmare. If we had a date at least we’d know what was happening.”

Circle Housing South Anglia Managing Director Tracy White said: “We have apologised for the inconvenience and discomfort caused by this unacceptable situation.

“We have also raised the issue directly with our contractor, who has arranged to carry out the repair.”
