Fans of Johnny Cash should head down to the Witham Public Hall on Saturday.

A husband and wife will be bringing their show, Johnny Cash Revisited, and the very best of the man in black and June Carter to the local stage.

Rick and Jodie McKay, from Rayleigh, take on the starring roles in a show packed full of country hits.

Rick, who plays Cash in the show, said: ““Our show features a live four piece band plus Jodie and myself and covers Johnny Cash's life and career in music from his early recordings on Sun Records with Elvis, Roy Orbison Carl Perking and Jerry Lee Lewis, through his years at Columbia Records and the famous prison concert albums at Folsom and San Quentin and up until his final, but now legendary "American" recordings.

“Our show at Witham Public Hall on Saturday is especially significant to us because it would also have been Johnny Cash and June Carter's 46th Wedding Anniversary, which we plan to celebrate on stage.”

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets £15, concessions £14, available from Witham Town Hall, online at withampublichall.co.uk or by calling 0845 0178717.
