A landscaping company that had £17,000 of tools stolen is hoping for fresh information after an appeal on national television.
Staff at DRH Landscapes, based in Stepfield, on the Freebournes Industrial Estate in Witham, were left distraught when a man hammered through a steel-plated door before filling his car with equipment, such as leaf blowers and chainsaws, last September.
CCTV images were released and featured in the Times but police have yet to make any real inroads.
Footage was featured on Tuesday’s Police 5 programme on Channel 5.
Owner Darrin Hammond, who started the business aged 21 after the Great Storm in 1987, is doubtful all of the tools will ever be recovered but is hoping the exposure will lead to someone coming forward with information about the raid.
