Repair work is continuing at a malting factory damaged in an explosion.
The blast, which shook nearby homes, followed a fire at Bairds Malt, in Station Maltings, Witham, last month.
A 67-year-old man who worked at the site suffered burns to his head and neck and was taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
A spokesman for the firm, which produces thousands of tonnes of malt every year for breweries throughout the world, has now confirmed the injured worker was fit to return the following day.
He added: “Plant repairs will continue until it is safe to return to full production.”
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has confirmed its investigation into the incident is ongoing.
