A driver may be prosecuted after a child was involved in a crash.
A three-year-old boy was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, last Tuesday after becoming trapped under a grey Mercedes A180 in The Grove, Witham.
It was initially thought the youngster had suffered a serious head injury, but he was later allowed home to recover from cuts and bruises.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Officers are considering a prosecution of careless driving against the female car driver, but may also offer her the option of improving her motoring skills with a place on a driver improvement course.”
