One of Witham’s singing groups has entered the New Year with a spring in their step, a new name and a new musical director.
The Witham Singers, formerly known as Witham Community Singers, has been entertaining in the town for the last eight years.
Under their new name, and the guidance of Emmelia Van der Walt who has taken on the role of musical director from Hans Montañana, the group is planning a series of concerts over the coming year.
The group is now on the lookout for more recruits, especially men. The spring term will run until March 24, followed by the summer term from April 28 until July 14.
Fees are £4 per session, £3 for those in education.
