MP Brooks Newmark to stand again at next year's election

Braintree MP Brooks Newmark has been chosen to fight the seat again at next year’s general election.

The politician, who has represented the town since 2005, has been re-adopted by the Braintree Constituency Conservative Association.

District councillor and retired school teacher Malcolm Fincken, 66, of Knowles Close, Halstead, will contest the seat for the Labour Party.

The gall of the man.....he's the one reason I have turned from a life time of conservative voting to seriously considering Labour if we can't get a UKIP representative to stand against him! Fingers crossed when he loses he can go join his chums in Syria!
