There will be another blank weekend of football for both Witham Town and Braintree Town after their respective games were postponed early this morning.

Like many other non-league games in the area, Braintree's home game against Nuneaton in the Skrill Premier was called-off after a pitch inspection at the Amlin Stadium, while Witham's Ryman League division one north fixture at AFC Sudbury went the same way.

Despite booking their place in the final of the Essex Senior Cup earlier this week, Braintree have now not had a home game in the league since December 28.

Their next action is due to be at Forest Green Rovers in the Skrill Premier on Tuesday.

Witham, meanwhile, are due to travel to Needham Market in division one north for their next fixture on Tuesday.
