A BANK could be closed as part of plans to move branches into supermarkets.
Barclays has announced it will replace some of its High Street branches across the country with smaller outlets within the community.
It has not yet confirmed how many branches will be affected, or where they will be.
It puts the future of Barclays branches in Halstead, Braintree and Witham in doubt.
The plans are part of a shake-up being led by chief executive Antony Jenkins, which could also see jobs in its investment banking division cut.
