Braintree man re-bailed on suspicion of rape at nightclub
Police are continuing to investigate an alleged rape at a Basildon night club.
An 18-year-old woman claims she was attacked in the seating area behind the DJ booth in Liquid at Festival Leisure Park between 1am and 2am on June 30.
On August 8, a 20-year-old man from Braintree was arrested in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire on suspicion of rape.
He answered bail on January 24.
He has been re-bailed until March 11 while detectives carry out further enquiries.
