Witham Town Council freezes council tax precept
Witham Town Council has frozen council tax rates for the upcoming year.
An average Band D household will pay £52.77 for 2014/15 as part of a total precept amount of £392,845.
The decision, which was recommended by the council’s estimates committee last week, was approved at a full council meeting on Monday.
Braintree Council will announce its budget for 2014/15 next month, while Essex County Council has confirmed a 1.49 per cent rise in council tax.
