Police are looking to identify two young men to assist with an ongoing investigation into the theft of a number of mountain bikes in Chelmsford.

The burglary happened when thieves kicked open a communal shed on Viaduct Road between 4pm Monday, December 30 and 8am Tuesday, December 31 and stole four mountain bikes, causing approximately £100 worth of damage.

Residents living in the nearby Wells Crescent and Kings Tower Flats use the shed as storage.

The men are described as white and in their 20s. The bike owners all live in Chelmsford.

Anyone who can identify the two men in the image is urged to contact investigating officers at Chelmsford police station on 101.
