Extra police patrols are in place after a spate of Braintree burglaries.
Officers will be targeting the hotspots and giving advice on how to safeguard against break-ins to people in the area.
Essex Police has released details of six burglaries which took place in just three days across the Braintree and Halstead areas.
Officers were called to a home in Rosemary Avenue, Braintree, after a victim discovered someone had unsuccessfully tried to force open the back door on January 5.
They were also called to Sunnyside in Braintree the following day but it is not yet known what was taken.
Also on January 6 burglars targeted a Rayne Road home and smashed in a back door to steal jewellery, a lap top, perfumes and knifes.
The following day a home in Martens Meadow, Braintree, was ransacked at 5.45pm and the burglars took foreign currency, a pillow case and stole a silver Ford Focus, registration EA09YLY from the drive.
On January 8 burglars also raided a Chelmer Road home and made a messy search of the home, but it not clear what was taken at this time.
