A designer who transforms old furniture with trendy designs is the latest business to move into a town centre pop-up shop.

Chic Decor Interiors will be the fourth occupant of Corner House, in Market Place, Braintree, starting on Monday.

The pop-up shop, which offers three-month tenancies to traders, is being funded by Braintree’s £86,500 Portas Pilot grant.

Its latest occupant will also be selling home accessories, small items of furniture and decorating products.

The business is run by Emma Jane Jarvis, an interior design graduate with a passion for creativity.

She said: “I believe in the importance of creating the perfect home for the people you love most, and I’m fully aware of how the space around you can affect your daily life.

“Chic Decor Interiors houses on-trend designer pieces that would make a statement in your home, these are complimented by coordinating accessories and decorating products which are kind to our pockets and our environment.”

Corner House’s previous tenant, Milk and Cupcake Gifts, has moved to the Braintree Jewellery Village, at the former community centre in Victoria Street, following the end of its three-month stay.

Anyone interested in becoming a future tenant of the pop-up shop should email amy.pitt@braintree.gov.uk or call 01376 552525.
