Twenty complaints have been made against councillors, including allegations that they failed to treat others with respect.
As part of an agenda item for Braintree Council’s Governance Committee, a monitoring officer has listed complaints made against both district and parish councillors between July 2012 to November 2013.
There were seven complaints against Braintree district councillors, one against Great Yeldham parish councillors, four against members of Stisted Parish Council, two against Kelvedon, two against Coggeshall, three against Bradwell and one against Bulmer.
In February and August last year, members of the public complained that Braintree councillors had failed to treat others with respect.
