Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted outside a bar in Witham and suffered a broken nose.

The victim, a 31-year-old woman, was outside Legends bar, in Newland Street, at about 1.30am on Sunday, December 22, when a man head-butted her in the face and ran off.

Investigating officer, Pc Hayley Cawston, said: "The victim has been left with the bottom part of her nose broken and a cut to the top of her nose. She is now awaiting plastic surgery and this has ruined her Christmas with her children.

"I really need to speak to anyone who was there that evening and saw the attack.”
