A Witham play area was officially opened after gaining new £50,000 equipment.
Templars Primary and Nursery School children joined councillors and members of Templars Community Residents’ Association to help celebrate the opening of the Templars estate play area.
The area has a new outdoor gym, group swing, seesaw, roundabout, toddler springer and a toddler weather station.
All existing play equipment, gates and fencing has also been re-painted and there are new litter bins and a picnic bench.
Councillor Wendy Schmitt, cabinet member for place, said: “It’s great that this super innovative play area allows parents to exercise whilst keeping an eye on their children playing.”
The refurbishment was funded by cash from the council’s capital play area budget.
