Train commuters in Braintree have had the price of an annual season ticket frozen for next year.
The Rail Delivery Group announced today that the average price increase, effective from January 2, would be 2.8%.
But the cost of a season ticket from Braintree to London Liverpool Street will remain at £4,124 per year.
Commuters in Witham will pay in excess of £4,000 for an annual ticket to Liverpool Street for the first time after their fares rose by one per cent.
