Is your Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator a star?

It's time for the annual Essex Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator of the Year Awards and a chance to nominate local co-ordinators for their efforts to help crack crime.

Essex chief constable Stephen Kavanagh said: "Policing in Essex is all about working with the people of the county to combat crime together.

"Neighbourhood Watch is a great representation of that ethos in action and I think it’s right that we recognise the fantastic work of the people involved.”

There are more than 7,000 volunteer co-ordinators in Essex.

Each district will judge the nominations and submit one candidate for the prestigious Essex Co-ordinator of the Year Award.

All the other candidates will receive a certificate of appreciation at a ceremony in March.

To make a nomination, visit essexnhw.org.uk or essex.police.uk/nhw Completed nomination forms should be sent to the relevant contact in your district or handed in at local police stations by 5pm on Friday January 10.
