That’s the message from Braintree Council, which has prosecuted the lazy couple who left this mess in Witham.

The council has vowed to continue prosecuting fly-tippers after spending almost £70,000 a year dealing with dumped rubbish.

It celebrated its latest successful prosecution after Benjamin Cleave and Samantha Line admitted dumping household waste no more than a couple of miles from Witham recycling centre.

The duo, of Cutts Close, Hatfield Peverel, left rubbish on waste land at Gershwin Boulevard in Witham.

Let's hear the outcome of this supposed 'successful prosecution'.

Was there an eye-watering three figure fine which might dissuade other like minded cretins from following suit?

I for one sincerely hope so and in anticipation of that being the case why isn't the message being spread by the BWT.
