Braintree and Witham Times: Braintree: Man banned from Facebook site after advertising drugs Braintree: Man banned from Facebook site after advertising drugs

Braintree shoppers were left shocked to find a long list of drugs available to buy on an online selling site for locals.

Residents normally post adverts for unwanted items such as clothing and furniture on the Facebook Sales Group Braintree and Essex Area.

So they were surprised by a recent post advertising items such as “medical marijuana, Blue Dream, Purple Haze, Pineapple Express, skunk and Netherlands Weed”, to name but a few.

The advertiser, whose own Facebook profile suggests he is from America, wrote: “Orders come in crush proof, plain, discrete envelopes."

The selling site has 6,675 members and was set up by Carl Parish, who said: “I found the post, removed it and banned the person selling."
