A Thaxted man has scooped a charity’s superdraw jackpot.
Glyn Cockaday won £3,310.88 in the Essex Air Ambulance’s Flight for Life Lottery.
Mr Cockaday, who joined the lottery in January 2013, was presented with his cheque by lottery manager Janice Flower.
Speaking about his win, he said: “I was utterly stunned when I received the call to tell me I had won the jackpot.
“I think everybody should support the air ambulance for just a few pounds a week as it is so important.
“It is not until something has happened to you or a loved one that you realise just how important the service is.”
