A man was punched and kicked in a robbery in Weavers Park, Braintree.

Two men attacked the 20-year-old victim from behind, swung a punch at him and tripped him at about 9.20pm on Thursday.

When he fell over they kicked him several times before taking his wallet from his trouser pocket, which had a small amount of cash and cards in it. 

The victim was left with minor injuries.

One of the suspects was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a darker coloured hoodie and was of average height.

The police should try near Tesco's up town because there are often 20-odd people of such description hanging about there after picking up their weekly benefits. I was unemployed for a good 6 months recently but it didn't mean I turned into a foul mouthed scumbag layabout. Shame they can't all be locked up just for looking like piles of litter in our town.
