A desperate plea has been made to safeguard the future of a well-used Braintree community hall - two years after it was previously saved from closure.
Glebe Community Hall could be forced to close if new committee members do not come forward, according to vice chairman Tony Everard.
District councillor Mr Everard said: “Unless we do get more volunteers, it’s getting harder and harder to keep up the effort with the people we have got, so inevitably, sometime or other, unless more people come along, it would come to that.”
Mr Everard is hoping his latest rallying call will led to a similar outcome and boost committee numbers into the double figures.
As well as needing more committee members in general, the trust needs a secretary and bookings clerk.
