A new head boy and girl are hoping to create a more integrated school and sixth form.
Gus Maby and Beth Garrick, both in Year 13, are on a mission to encourage the Helena Romanes main school and sixth form to become more integrated.
The duo, who had to give a presentation to their year group before being given their roles, are beginning their work by organising social events for the whole school to attend.
The duo are also finding that their new positions are a learning curve.
Gus, 17, of Great Dunmow, said: “I am improving as a person all the time.
“We are doing lots of speeches and each time I do one, it’s like a new experience which I am learning from.”
