TWO pupils are £600 closer towards their fundraising target for a charity trip to Uzbekistan.
Alec Hunter Academy pupils Chloe Breach, of Beckers Green Road and Leah Boxshall, of Cressing Road, need to raise £4098 between them for their two-week trip to the country, where they will help to build a school, go trekking and camping.
The 14-year-olds have raised £586 from a raffle they organised, which was drawn by their headteacher, Trevor Lawn, on November 5.
Ken Breach, Chloe’s dad, said: “We would like to thank Pets at Home and Shake Express for donating the prizes and also all the people that bought a raffle ticket.
“Chloe and Leah still have a long way to go to reach their target so they are already starting a Christmas raffle with some great prizes to be won.”
To donate, cheques can be sent to World Challenge, 17-21 Queens Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP13 6AQ On the back of the cheque it must state: Chloe Breach, Alec Hunter Academy, HH9328, Uzbekistan.
