Pupils of a fire-ravaged Braintree school have moved into a £1million “village” of temporary buildings.
John Ray Infant School children are being taught in 18 demountable structures on the John Ray Junior School and Notley High School sites after spending nearly two months at a temporary base in Takeley, near Stansted.
The 289 children had relocated to the former Takeley Primary School premises after their own school burnt down on August 31.
Deputy headteacher Gill Cunningham said: “This is the next part of their big adventure.
“The children have been absolutely brilliant."
