Foster carers have been recognised for dedicating years to caring for youngsters.
Families from the Braintree district were among 35 to receive awards from Essex County Council for giving between years of service to fostering.
An awards ceremony was held at Chelmsford County Cricket Ground earlier this month.
Essex County Councillor Dick Madden, cabinet member for children and families, said: “I have met some truly inspirational foster carers.
“On behalf of Essex County Council and the thousands of children you’ve cared for over the years, I would like to say a huge thank you.”
