4:42pm Wednesday 23rd October 2013 in News
The demolition of a school, which was gutted in a huge blaze, is set to begin next week.
On Monday work will begin to knock down the fire damaged buildings of John Ray Infants School in Notley Road, Braintree.
The work is expected to be finished by December 20.
The temporary classrooms, which are being put up at nearby John Ray Junior School and Notley High School are set to be finished on Friday.
An Essex County Council spokesman said: “Staff from John Ray Infant School will be setting up these classrooms over half-term ready for the school to open on Monday 4th November.
“The re-building of the school is still on target to be ready for opening in September 2015.”
Since the beginning of term, John Ray Infant School pupils had been travelling to a former school in Takeley for their lessons.
