Braintree: Victorian tearoom to create 10 jobs
11:00am Sunday 20th October 2013 in News
A Victorian-style tearoom is set to create about 10 part-time jobs in Braintree.
John Taplin, of Dunmow, is setting up his new venture in what was used to be home to the art store Turner and Danby at the fountain end of the High Street.
Mr Taplin hopes to very soon be opening The Glass House after refurbishing the premises and fixing one of the recently cracked front windows.
He said: “All the girls are going to wear shirts, ties and aprons, and we’re going to really try and make it different.
“We’re aiming at a more upmarket tearoom and we’re really looking forward to opening.”
