Witham: Commuter parking idea in jeopardy
11:00am Wednesday 16th October 2013 in News
A proposal to create more commuter parking in Witham is hanging in the balance as a developer seeks to push through housing plans for the same site.
After waiting seven months for a decision, Trigina has appealed to the Secretary of State against Braintree Council’s non-determination of its plans for five two-bedroom and four three-bedroom houses with off-street parking at the former Eckard House site in Easton Road, Witham.
Should the plans be given the green light, it would put an end to an alternative suggestion for the site to used for commuter parking.
