Braintree: Chance to live the high life as water tower goes on the market

An estate agent is hoping one of Braintree’s most unusual homes will make a splash after going up for sale.
Built in 1870 as a water tower, the historic building has since been converted into a unique three-storey, one-bedroom home and is on the market for £184,995.
The tower, in Swanside, Braintree, features two bathrooms, a modern kitchen, utility room, open plan entrance hall, study and lounge.
A spiral staircase from the ground floor connects all three levels, with the living areas connected with archways.
The owner also has planning permission to convert a further two floors.
Estate agent Joscelyne Chase describes the building as “ideal for a first time buyer or an investor looking to maximise potential by extending into the third and fourth floor”.
