Witham: Footballer celebrates helping Liverpool claim women's crown

A former Witham schoolgirl is celebrating after Liverpool Ladies Football Club clinched their first Women's Super League title.
Ex-Howbridge School and Bramston School pupil Kate Longhurst was among the squad that helped wrestle the title from Arsenal, who had won the top division in women’s domestic football for the previous nine successive seasons.
The 24-year-old was an unused substitute in Sunday’s winner-takes-all finale against Bristol Academy, having only signed from Chelsea in July.
