Witham: Heroic youngster calls for help after mum collapses
9:00am Thursday 26th September 2013 in News
A heroic youngster calmly phoned for help after her mum fainted as they were getting ready to go to school.
Mum Beth Boyle, 25, who has a history of unexplained fainting, passed out in her bedroom last Tuesday.
When five-year-old daughter Millie discovered her mum unconscious, she grabbed her iPhone and called Beth’s mother, Linda Wright.
The Chipping Hill Primary School pupil then used a chair to reach a set of house keys so that Linda could get into the house.
Beth said: “I don’t know how long I was out for, but when I woke up again Millie was singing a song, saying ‘mummy I love you’.
“She is one in a million and she is a little bit of a hero.”
