Braintree district: Long standing Next of Kin fans will back the brothers all the way

Next of Kin supporters, who showed up en-masse to support the brothers at their audition, will back the brothers all the way through the X Factor competition.
About 16 friends and family, who have been fans of the band all along, went with Nathan, Kieran and Mark Bass, to the Wembley audition where the brothers performed in front of thousands of people.
Supporter Kelvyn Woodhead, 32, of Malyon Close, Braintree, has known the band since the mid 1990s when he went to Braintree College with eldest brother Nathan.
He said: “They have all been pushing so hard to get themselves noticed and it just seemed to be so difficult, all they needed was that little bit of publicity to show what they can do.
“The family have gone through so much in the past, many years have been horrendous for them.
“Success is just so well deserved for them and their family.”
The friends all met up to watch the auditions on the weekend and Kelvyn said the Next of Kin Twitter account went into “meltdown” and the Youtube hits went through the roof.
He added that although the group were nervous about performing in front of the judges they knew they could impress them.
In a clip not seen on the show mum Diane, who helped write the audition song, was brought into the room to see the judges and given a kiss by Gary Barlow.
Speaking about the coming weeks on the show he said: “The boys have got so much support, everyone is supporting them.”
