Witham: Investigation continues into £100K boots theft

Detectives are continuing to investigate the theft of boots worth £100,000 from a lorry parked in Witham.
Five men were arrested and four vehicles were seized after the truck was broken into at Eastways industrial area at about 4am on Wednesday September 11.
Officers believe that most of the stolen items have been recovered but if anyone finds any Firecrest knee-length boots or ankle boots abandoned at the roadside anywhere between Witham, Basildon and Thurrock, they should contact officers at Braintree CID on 101.
Anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone with information should also call the CID team.
The five men who were arrested on suspicion of theft have all been bailed pending further enquiries. Two men aged 22 and 26 and from Southend, were bailed until September 20.
A 21-year-old man from Southend and two men aged 24 and 28 and from east London were bailed until January 6.
