2:00pm Thursday 5th September 2013 in News
A dance student will be giving up Christmas at home to help out at an Indian orphanage.
Former Notley High School pupil Charlotte Batty-Hutcherson, 17, raised just over £500 from a skydive towards her trip, which will see her paint an orphanage and also teach English in Madurai, southern India.
The Colchester Sixth Former, who is studying dance, media studies, photography and performance studies, will be spending three weeks in Madurai over Christmas and the New Year along with 19 of her peers.
Charlotte, of Hidcote Way, Great Notley, said: “I have always been interested in charity work."
