A prolific burglar who admitted more than 80 offences has been sentenced to four years in prison.
James Zammutt, 22, of The Yard, Braintree, admitted three burglaries and the destruction of an electronic police tag.
But Chelmsford Crown Court also took a further 79 offences into account when sentencing him on Monday.
Zammutt stole jewellery valued at £50,000 from a home in The Green, White Notley, on January 15 this year.
He also took a jewellery box worth £1,500 and three rings worth a combined £800 from another address in the same road on April 8.
The burglar had taken a box containing £4,300 worth of jewellery from a home in Mount Road, Braintree, only three days earlier.
