Braintree: Trio steal bags of clothes intended for Oxfam
3:00pm Friday 16th August 2013 in News
A supermarket worker watched in disbelief as brazen thieves crammed their car with charity-bound clothing just metres from Braintree police station.
Check-out operator Debbie Farrell had just finished her shift at Sainsbury’s on Saturday when she spotted two women and a man by the recycling bins in the store’s car park at about 8.15pm.
The trio were allegedly piling bag after bag of clothing from both in and around the Oxfam clothes bank into the back of a white hatchback at about 8.15pm.
An Essex Police spokesman said officers were unaware of the incident.
